Tony’s practice focuses on the representation of trade associations and other nonprofit entities, including charitable foundations and a police pension fund. He serves as general counsel to national and international trade associations in the building materials, distribution, environmental, print, plastic, and forest and paper products industries, providing antitrust counseling, governance, contractual and corporate law advice. Tony also counsels his clients in general business matters and employment law, including executive compensation and employment contracts, and he advises municipalities in specialized administrative law matters.

Tony has represented energy and utility clients, as well as municipal entities, in regulatory proceedings before several state agencies in Connecticut, including the Public Utilities Regulatory Authority and the Connecticut Siting Council.  He has also been involved in the preparation and response by both regulated and non-regulated businesses to various federal and state governmental inquiries and proceedings.

Prior to the formation of MacleodLaw, Tony was a partner in private practice with Whitman Breed Abbott & Morgan and with Wiggin & Dana, and he gained over a decade of experience in the corporate sector as the chief legal officer of both a business involved in mining, manufacturing and building materials and also a publicly listed utility company. He is a former Connecticut Supreme Court Law Clerk.
